Information Session and Discussion: CETA, 5 Years On”.

On January 23, the Embassy of Canada, together with the Canada-Spain Chamber of Commerce, held the event “Information Session and Discussion: CETA, 5 Years On”.

The event was hosted by, Mazen Mahfouz, Senior Trade Commissioner and members of his team from the Canadian Embassy, and Zulema Aragonés Monjas, President of our Chamber and Head of DBRS Morningstar in Spain.

Julia Sekkel, Economist at Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa, gave an excellent presentation on CETA and how investment and trade have grown since 2017. We also had the intervention of Francisco García Gómez de Mercado and Juan Guillermo Riancho, from the law firm and member of the Chamber, Gómez de Mercado Abogados, who gave us an overview of the legal aspects of CETA.
