On 15 July, the Canada-Spain Chamber of Commerce held a farewell luncheon in honour of Mazen Mahfouz, currently Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in Spain, ahead of his upcoming appointment as Ambassador of Canada to Ecuador.
The event was attended by H.E. Jeffrey Marder, Ambassador of Canada, members of the Board of Directors, Chamber members and friends, who wished to personally thank Mazen for the support, warmth and cooperation he has shown our organisation over the past five years.
Throughout this time, Mazen has been a great ally of the Chamber, helping to strengthen the relationship between the Embassy of Canada and our institution, and supporting numerous initiatives aimed at fostering economic and business ties between Canada and Spain.
The luncheon was also an opportunity to recognise his outstanding work and to wish him every success in this new professional chapter.
