The Embassy of Canada, together with the CCCE, will hold the event “Information Session and Discussion: CETA, 5 Years On” next Monday, January 23, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:15 am at the Canadian Embassy in Torre Emperador, Paseo de la Castellana, 259D, Madrid.
This session will be hosted by Mazen Mahfouz, Senior Trade Commissioner and members of his team from the Canadian Embassy, and Zulema Aragonés Monjas, President of our Chamber and Head of DBRS Morningstar in Spain.
The keynote speaker will be Julia Sekkel, Economist from Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa, who will be in Madrid and will give a presentation on “Canada-Spain Trade and Investment Performance Under CETA”.
At the event we will also have a brief overview of the legal aspects of CETA, by the law firm and Chamber member, Gomez de Mercado Abogados, some testimonials from companies that have benefited from the CETA agreement, and there will be a round table to discuss different aspects of CETA interest for the attendees.
At the end of the session, there will be a networking coffee, an interesting opportunity to chat with existing and new contacts.
This face-to-face event is open to members of the Chamber and their collaborators, and a good opportunity to be with the main players in the economic and commercial relationship between Spain and Canada.
