The Canada-Spain Chamber of Commerce had the honor of attending, on March 15, the Forum dos Portugueses, organized by its President Manuel Pereira Ramos and whose guest of honor was the Honorable Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida Navasqüés . The Mayor was introduced by the Honorable Ambassador of Portugal in Spain, Dr. João Mira Gomes.
The speakers highlighted the importance of the relationship and the strong commercial ties that span these two great countries and the cities of Lisbon and Madrid, as well as the many opportunities for foreign companies found in Madrid.
It was a pleasure to see many old friends and make new contacts, and we also felt at home with this remarkable and important group of professionals.
From the Chamber’s perspective, we continue to cultivate and grow our institutional network, so we support, as in this case, our Chamber members, as many of them have or are building significant operations and client relationships in the neighboring Portugal.
It was also a great opportunity to chat with the Honorable Mayor of Madrid, who expressed his continued support for our Chamber and its members.
