LCI Education named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies

LCI Education has been recognized as one of the best managed companies in Canada. An award received after passing an independent process that analyzes the quality and excellence of companies owned and managed by Canadians, whose annual turnover already exceeds 50 million dollars.

The recognition of LCI Education highlights the leadership taken in its strategic areas, as well as in terms of innovation, culture and commitment. It also highlights its good economic management to achieve sustained growth and great global performance thanks to its international expansion. The jury has awarded these principles of LCI Education, which hopes to double its size before 2025.

The award to the Canadian school coincides with the recent investment in the Barcelona campus, one of the educational references in the visual arts and design of the Spanish city. LCI Education, in a clear commitment to strengthening its presence in Spain, hopes to have the works on its new campus finished by the end of next year, 2023.

The investment that is being made in the construction is almost 35 million euros and the objective is to place LCI Barcelona as one of the best centers of the 23 that the organization has. In addition, the Balmes street campus will be moved to Poblenou, improving facilities of 11,000 square meters capable of accommodating more than 2,000 international students.

The campus installed in Barcelona, an educational reference in graphic design and visual arts, represents another step in the global growth sought by LCI Education, which already has a presence on five continents, being an example of new forms of learning and quality educational development and sustainable in economic terms.

Despite the large number of centers that LCI Education has, including Barcelona, the origin of LCI Education dates back to LaSalle College, founded in 1959 in Montreal. In 1989, LaSalle College decided to take the leap into international adventure by opening a first campus in Morocco. Although the family organization began to spread internationally, it managed to maintain its agility and entrepreneurial culture.

Talents in the 4 corners of the world

Claude Marchand, president and CEO of the LCI Education network, emphasizes that all of his talents “are listened to” because they are the “greatest advantage”. “We take advantage of our network and our teams deployed around the world to maximize our forces, our business intelligence and the development of our knowledge and experience, both for our operations and for our growth”, celebrates Claude Marchand.

“As a network of higher education establishments, we strongly believe in the continuous development of our colleagues and encourage them to stay current, anticipate new trends, adapt to changes in the industry and develop strong technical skills,” adds the president of LCI Education.

Brigitte Vachon, partner and leader of the best managed companies in Canada program, valued that “for companies it is increasingly important to offer a collaborative work environment in which employees feel free to provide their valuable contribution to the organization”.

“This year, the companies honored in the ‘Best Managed’ program adopted a people-centered mindset, giving employees the opportunity to acquire important skills and incorporating diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives into their main strategy. By prioritizing employee well-being and fostering professional development, these companies have been able to mobilize a committed team of talent to explore new business opportunities and set the benchmarks for continuous growth and improvement,” explains Vachon.

Boldness and innovation in education

LCI schools not only address study careers adapted to new technologies and job opportunities, but are also organized based on innovation. Among other details that distinguish LCI from the rest of the centers are its FLEX classrooms that allow, simultaneously, to teach both face-to-face and virtually. In addition, to this we must add investments in the Barcelona or Vancouver campuses that will have active learning, technology and social commitment as bases for development, as well as the resource of master classes taught by experts. LCI Education transforms the teaching and student experience through new technologies. All of these features have been instrumental in LCI Education receiving recognition.
