The Chamber held a cocktail in collaboration with the Hon. Mrs. Ambassador of Canada Wendy Drukier and her team from her Embassy, during the 6th Canadian Film Festival in Madrid recently held at the Cineteca in the Matadero cultural center in Madrid.
Together with our President, Zulema Aragonés Monjas, we were able to meet partners, colleagues, guests and lovers of Canadian cinema to celebrate this new edition of the festival. The meeting was attended by all the sponsors and collaborators of the festival, and as a special guest, we enjoyed the presence of the Canadian actress Anwen O’Driscoll, star of the film, “You Can Live Forever”. At the end of the event, the film was attended and there was a subsequent discussion with the actress.
For yet another year, the Madrid Canadian Film Festival would not have been possible without the help of sponsors DBRS Morningstar, Air Canada and Tim Hortons. It also had the support of Telefilm, the Canadian Embassy and the Québec Government Office. The Cineteca, Cafa Finance, the Canada-Spain Chamber of Commerce and the Canada Foundation collaborated. TV5Monde was the media partner.
