Yesterday the Chamber held a Business Networking Cocktail, together with the Club de Exportadores e Inversores in Madrid, where members of both organizations met.
It was an interesting and pleasant opportunity to gather at the Club Financiero Génova in Madrid, with its spectacular 360º views of Madrid and its surroundings.
This was the first bilateral meeting between both organizations, with the aim of strengthening ties and collaborations between companies with investments and relations with Canada and Spain, and providing support to companies to increase their contacts and do more business with each other, since more and more companies are members of both the Chamber and the Club de Exportadores e Inversores.
The attendees were addressed by both presidents of each organization, Antonio Bonet and Zulema Aragonés Monjas, and then heard an update on the success and good progress of CETA, the trade agreement between Canada and Europe, now in its 5th year, by guest speaker, Mazen Mahfouz, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Canada in Spain.
We also had an intervention by Isabelle Dessureault, the Delegada of the Government of Québec for the Iberian Peninsula, on the good progress of business and investments.
We want to thank all the attendees for their participation and our special thank you to the sponsors of this event: Ellis & Partners Executive Search and the Office of the Government of Quebec in the Iberian Peninsula.
