CanChams Forum in Europe: Strengthening Collaboration Between Canada and Europe.

Last week, the Canada EU Trade and Investment Association (CEUTIA) held a new meeting of the #CanChamsOfEurope network in Brussels, bringing together:

  • 16 bilateral Canadian Chambers of Commerce and business associations from across Europe,
  • Trade Commissioners from 14 embassies and missions,
  • Provincial representatives from Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba,
  • as well as Export Development Canada (EDC).

The meeting, chaired by Mark C., President of CEUTIA, aimed to explore new avenues for collaboration, share best practices, and strengthen the Canada–Europe business network.

Activities began with a reception hosted by CanCham BeLux, where Nicholas Brousseau, Ambassador of Canada to Belgium and Chargé d’Affaires to the European Union, delivered the welcome address. This was followed by a working session with the participation of Global Affairs Canada, the Canadian provinces, and EDC, focusing on industrial, technological, commercial, and defence cooperation.

The event concluded with the Canada–Europe Business Forum, which brought together institutional and private-sector representatives to discuss key policies and cooperation opportunities in areas such as industry, technology, and trade diversification.

The Canada–Spain Chamber of Commerce was represented by Juan Millán, Managing Partner of Gedeth Network and member of the Board of Directors of our Chamber, reaffirming our commitment to strengthening economic and business relations between Canada and Europe.
