Last Wednesday, the Canada–Spain Chamber of Commerce held its traditional Christmas Luncheon Cocktail Reception at the Official Residence of Canada in Madrid, hosted by His Excellency the Ambassador of Canada, Jeffrey Marder. The event also welcomed Nicolás Mazzoli, Country Head of RBC Capital Markets in Spain, who is celebrating his first Christmas this year as President of the Chamber.
Once again, it was a wonderful opportunity to bring together members of the Chamber, partners, representatives of the Trade Commissioner Service of the Embassy of Canada, and their guests in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The gathering marked the start of the holiday season and offered the chance to raise a toast to the new year ahead.
The Chamber would like to extend its special thanks to the Ambassador of Canada and his Trade Commissioner team, led by Mazen Mahfouz, as well as to the members and sponsors of the event—The Lemon Tree Education, Air Canada, Celestica, Klev & Vera International Law Firm y el Bureau du Québec à Barcelone—for their support and collaboration.
One of the most anticipated moments of the event, as every year, was the Christmas raffle. This year’s prizes included two round-trip airline tickets to Canada, courtesy of Air Canada; a dinner for two at ISA Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid; and an official Atlético Ottawa soccer shirt, champions of the 2025 Canadian Premier League, generously provided by its CEO, Manuel Vega.
